17th Annual World Day of Prayer

Thursday, September 9th at 7-8 p.m.

Thousands of people will join Silent Unity and Unity Churches around the world for this 17th annual World Day of Prayer.  The theme this year is "Living in the Flow."  This is an opportunity to make a positive difference in the community and foster healing and wholeness through prayer.  The prayer chaplains, musicians from our own congregation (whom you may not know are musically-inclined!) and our Uniteens are all participating in the program. Come join us!

Family Day - Kick-off of the Children's Church

Sunday, September 12th after the Service

Come join us as we re-start our Children's Church  and Youth Groups for the new school year.  Bring your children...all ages welcome!  We'll have ice cream, games and fun for everyone.  This is a great time to introduce your children to our wonderful Unity curriculum.  We'll celebrate the power of the family and have a good time, too.  Until then, please bring the kids to the service. Nursery care is still available to children four and under.

Dr. Rocco Errico Returns to Unity

"The Origin of Satan"

Sunday, October 10th

Workshop from 1-4 p.m.  Love Offering Taken

Dr. Rocco A. Errico is an ordained minister, international lecturer, author and one of the nation's leading Biblical scholars working from the original Aramaic Peshitta texts. For ten years he studied intensively with Dr. George M. Lamsa, Th.D., (1890-1975), world-renowned Assyrian biblical scholar and translator of the Holy Bible from the Ancient Eastern Text. Dr. Errico is proficient in Aramaic and Hebrew exegesis. He's helped thousands of readers understand how the Semitic context of culture, language, idioms, symbolism, mystical style, psychology, and literary amplification are essential to understanding the ancient spiritual document of the Holy Bible. He will be speaking during both Sunday services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Then stay for “The Origin of Satan” workshop in the afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. You won’t want to miss his explanations on the origin of a so-called supernatural being in a simple and non-theological perspective.  Jesus, in the gospel John, is recorded as saying, “You shall know the truth and that very truth shall set you free.” Dr. Errico’s latest books will be available for purchase and signing.  Please plan to arrive early as seating will be at capacity!  There will be a potluck lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
